Tech Fee Grants

Classroom Technology Enhancement Student Tech Fee Proposal for FY05 (PDF)

There's approximately $130K-$140K annually in student tech fee money for CLAS to spend. We're always looking for standard classrooms that can be converted into technology enhanced teaching spaces (think CH 01). Classrooms identified will be those for which liberal arts & sciences departments either now have, or, pending the upgrade, will be able to make a strong case for, priority scheduling.

Software and computers for student use are also potential uses for student tech fee money. The critical issue is that tech fee funded purchases directly benefit students - it's their money that's being used.

NWACC Grants

Grants from the NorthWest Academic Computing Consortium should have a focus on new or improved uses of technology in service of the teaching and research missions of member institutions. The more aligned the request is to this topic, the better its chances of getting funded. Typically, around a dozen grants are awarded among proposals from the member schools annually. More details about what's involved with an NWACC grant are provided in this sample NWACC award letter and on the NWACC site.

Note: The NWACC grant program has been suspended pending review.
